Indian Campaigns Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served in the United States Army as a Private in the 6th United States Calvary. He was from Jacksboro, Jack Co, Texas. He was awarded his medal for action at Wichita River, Texas, during the Indian Campaigns.

 

MOH CITATION:

 

Gallantry in action and on the march. (In 1916, the general review of all Medals of Honor deemed 900 unwarranted. This recipient was one of them. In June 1989, the U.S. Army Board of Correction of Records restored the medal to this recipient.)

 

BURIAL LOCATION: BOTTOMS CEMETERY, JACKSBORO, TEXAS.
